Swaminarayan Mandir Midwest, Chicago Celebrates Ghanshyam Maharaj’s 12th Annual Patotsav
Chicago is the largest city in the state of Illinois in the United States. The fifth heir to Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Vishwavatsalyamahoddhi Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj’s incessant travels to North America led to the growth of Satsang in Midwest Chicago.
Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan in the presence of His Divine Holiness of Acharya Gyanmahoddhi Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj presided over “Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Midwest-Chicago’s 12th Annual Prestige celebration of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj” four-day ceremony was celebrated with great gaiety and grandeur.
During this occasion, welcome ceremony, opening ceremony of playground for small children, Mahapooja, The Supreme Lord of Shree Swaminarayan – Shree Mukhavani –Shree RahasyaarthPradipika tika Sah Vachanamrut Granth Parayan, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth Parayan, Shree Jeevanpran Shree Abjibapashree vato Samah Parayan, Katha- Varta, Rasotsav, etc. Devotional Puja, Archan, Annakut Darshan, Aarti, in the divine presence of his divine holiness of Acharya Gyanmahoddhi Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj divine blessings etc. spiritual programs were held.

On this occasion, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Acharya Gyanmahoddhi Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj blessed and said that our Vishwavatsalyamahoddhi Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj has given us this temple palace to keep the memory of Swaminarayanapapa Swamipapa fresh. A temple means a ritual center. Where a man understands the duty of his human life and follows the path of devotion. This temple has been constructed for the ultimate welfare of living beings. Temples have been constructed for the worship of God. Worshiping God is a good activity and leads to Mokshamarg. Not to be quiet in good activities, not to be lazy but to develop brotherhood and encourage young children, youth also to worshiping God. It’s our duty to bring new Mumukshu into the temple and fulfilled his life with devotion & doing temple busiest with devotion. Dignitaries from Midwest Chicago were also present during the festival.
